Keep Smiling

I am just finishing 50 thank you's for a friend of my sister's, daughter's baby shower(crazy, right?!)...will leave you with a card that I made a couple weeks ago with the new Simon Says Stamp February Floral Fun Card Kit, and with one day before February...I needed to share it with you today!!  My card combines some of the fun/cool stamps from this kit's stamp set along with a whole bunch of the new Simon Says Stamp inks...I am LOVING these inks, cool colors and ink wonderfully!!...FUN, FUN, FUN!!...
I made sure to line the stamp's end circles in the exact same spot each time I stamped a new color (1/2 off, 1/2 on the card).  I had to stamp a couple times  a bunch of times to get it almost exactly right...and although not PERFECT...I am a bit of a perfectionist...it was pretty close:):)!!  I used one of the very cool chipboard arrows also from the kit, put some black enamel accents on it, and combined it with a sentiment from the set.
Thanks for visiting me today!! Hugs!! Lisa

Butterfly Heart

I purchased a new die(for me) from Memory Box and got it in the mail yesterday.  It's Butterfly Heart...aptly named as it is a heart made of butterflies:)!!...
I used three different colors of pink paper .  BUT...there was something about this die that I didn't know when I purchased it.  The butterflies were designed to be cut only part way through the paper...so they fly!  Here's what I mean...
The only problem is...unless you want the die cut to be all one color, you have to adhere colored butterflies to..say... a white base...as I did!  I die cut in the three colors and cut out some from each color.  I randomly placed them on the die cut panel to make sure I liked where all the different pinks were placed, them adhered them with glossy accents.  THEN I bent all the wings...and the flying began!!!

I found a sentiment from My Favorite Things that I thought went perfectly with my Butterfly Heart and then popped up on white card.  FUN!!  Thanks for visiting me today!! Hugs!! Lisa

Yellow Tilth Flower

I had a reader ask me about a card I had made with the Memory Box Tilth Flower...and while I had the die sitting out on my desk...for a while...and seeing as it had been a while since last using it, I decided to try another card with it...
I die cut 3 flowers and although you can't really tell, I VERY carefully cut between each petal of the flower(and trimmed the edges later), so the layered flower would have heft, volume and flow...added some of the polka dotted paper from a piece sitting out from a card I made last week and a "hello" from a small retired set of Hero Arts Stamps, Designer Fruit.  Love the look of this flower...delicate, 3D and cool:)!!  Here are pics of my cards made with it from last year 2 years ago, just in case you were wondering:)...

So cool to know this one flower can have so many different looks!!

Hope you have a great weekend:)!!  Hugs!!  Lisa

I'm on a Fresh Foliage Roll

Just thought I would show you a couple more cards using the same layout and use of the Memory Box Fresh Foliage die that I used on this card(thanks again, Loll!)...
After I made this teal colored card, I needed to make a sympathy card AND a birthday card, and thought that making a card like this one would be perfect for both occasions.  The same, but what a difference a change of colored paper and sentiment can make(and I changed the square to a rectangle for the birthday to fit it's sentiment)...

SUPER VERSATILE!!  Layered each foliage 3 times for depth, adhering them to one another and to the colored panel with Glossy Accents.  Thanks for visiting me today!! Hugs!! Lisa

Simon February Card Kit...Sweet Papers

The Simon Says Stamp February Card Kit has some really wonderful stamps and some really wonderful papers!!  I have been loving the papers so much, I have ordered a bunch of them separately, to have more of them!!  These two cards were made with the pretty solid colored papers for the hearts and flowers,  and a piece of the cool patterned paper cut into strips, along with sentiments from the kit AND this first one's sentiment was made with the STICKERS that came in the kit (layered)...REALLY COOL...
I glazed the hearts with Glossy Accent for some added texture and depth...

The second one used another strip of the same paper, cool how the color scheme changes with a cut of the paper!  I used an EK Success flower punch for the flowers (I purchased at Michael's)...thought this paper was just calling for these retro flowers...
The inside continued on with another sentiment from the set along with some Simon die cut hearts in the same colors as the flowers on the outside...
So much FUN!!  It snowed here in Virginia...hope you are staying warm where you are!! Hugs!! Lisa
